21-22/11
Visit to our bank, an auditing firm, our partner-NGO “Al-Jana” and preparing the arrival of the Swedish trainer Camilla Rud.
23/11
Visit to Beddawi and Rabia’s girls’ group. Rabia tells us he changed location this week, as there had previously been troubble, crime, even shoting, near the other place. This one is safer, with streets leading off in many directions, so that the children, if needed, can quickly return home.
Ca 15 girls aged 6-11, warmed up and practised basics of juggling. Some can juggle 3 balls. The girls bring nice homemade balls, made by baloons and birdseed. Rabia keeps their concentration by joking and dancing in between the very demanding excerzises. He shows the group how to go to the next step, then walks around the circle and gives each girl personal instructions.
After about 90 minutes, as we leave, Rabia’s boys’ group come to the space and commence training.
We were impressed by Rabia’s and the girls’ work.

Morning: Travel to the city of Saida to get permissions to enter two of the camps in the south. After a chat with the responible officer, his guard, his assistants, the doorman and a mayor from a village near Tyre – during wich we denied having projects in Israel – we got the permissions and cookies.
Afternoon: Workshop with 12 people from The ToT in Burj el-Barasnji camp outside Beirut. Focusing on excerzises for them to do with their Circuna children groups.
25/11
Full day workshop with 13 members of the ToT, focusing on comedy techniques/clowning. Gave homework, to be presented on the 29th.

26/11
Meeting with accountant. Travel to the gathering Kasmieh in southern Lebanon, for short acrobatics training with two ToT-members (Samar and Baha), before watching them lead an extra training with a mix of children from their respectiv Circuna groups (ca 20 children aged 5-12, 80 minutes, games and acrobatics). The children worked with good focus and joy, the trainers had good control and the trust of the children. We were impressed by everyone’s work. Camilla stayed over in Kasmieh.
