Monthly Archive for September, 2008
In the first week of September I returned to the northernmost acting school of Sweden, in the coast town of Luleå. The temperature dropped 10 degrees Celsius, compared to Stockholm and I got a foretaste of autumn.
Military planes on drill roar above the bay as joggers and myself seek the setting sun.
The task was to introduce the year 4 students of the school in acting with an awareness of gender, in a similar way I did with year 1 in December last year.
It is always interesting to notice the different dynamics of different groups and how recistance is overcome and trust in these new things is built. I certainly learned a lot and the group seemed very positive.
I hope to return and was even asked to put together a three year dream plan, with longer stays, follow-ups and developement towards the more regular character-work courses.
